What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

⁃ NDIA funded SIL provides assistance with daily tasks in a shared living environment, focusing on developing skills for independent living.
⁃ Suitable for clients with complex needs or those who choose to live with friends.
⁃ Includes support workers and capacity builders for shared arrangements.
⁃ Does not cover usual living expenses or accommodation capital costs.
⁃ Many SIL clients can also have a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) package for accommodation costs.
